Short answer: Ellison Provincial Park is a 220-hectare park on the shore of Okanagan Lake, a short drive past Okanagan Landing and about 16 km from downtown Vernon. It has three beaches, more than six kilometres of walking trails, a campground, beginner rock climbing and western Canada's only freshwater dive park at Otter Bay.
Beaches
Ellison's beaches have warm water and gently sloping shores, great for swimming. Sandy Beach allows leashed pets, making it popular with dog owners.
Trails
More than six kilometres of mostly easy trails wind through the park, with some steeper sections and headland routes that offer wide views over Okanagan Lake. Watch for deer, porcupines and ground squirrels.
